Friendship Bridge Beam Repair Works Concluded
Macau's Land, Public Works and Transport Bureau (DSSOPT) announced the conclusion of the complex structural repair works on the Friendship Bridge, which included the main beams and support pedestals. The works, which began last year, were carried out in phases to minimize any impact on the daily traffic of the bridge between Macau and Taipa. The authorities guarantee that periodic maintenance of maritime bridges is a priority to ensure structural safety. In addition, DSSOPT carried out other maintenance works, such as painting handrails and replacing electrical panels. The Government also plans future repairs to the viaducts and access ramps of the Friendship Bridge, ensuring that vehicle circulation will be maintained in all four lanes during the execution of these works. These interventions are crucial for the longevity and safety of Macau's vital infrastructure, highlighting the authorities' commitment to the region's critical infrastructure and public safety, ensuring that the Friendship Bridge continues to serve the population efficiently and safely.
