Clubhouse Launches Android App in Beta in the US
Clubhouse, the social networking app that gained prominence when launched exclusively for iOS, has now expanded its presence with the launch of a beta version for Android devices in the US, more than a year after its original debut. The company aims to gather feedback and improve user experience in the coming weeks, preparing for a wider rollout in English-speaking markets and the rest of the world. Despite being available for pre-registration on the Google Play Store, access to the app is still restricted to invites. Additionally, Clubhouse plans to add features like payments and club creation for Android users soon, while various competitors, including Twitter with Spaces and Discord with Stage Channels, as well as Facebook, Spotify, Slack, LinkedIn, and Reddit, are already developing or implementing similar audio functionalities to rival the platform.
