Chicxulub impact event adalah kawah raksasa yang terbentuk akibat tumbukan asteroid besar ke Bumi sekitar 66 juta tahun lalu. Kawah ini berada di wilayah Semenanjung Yucatán, Mexico, dan memiliki diameter sekitar 180 kilometer. Asteroid yang membentuknya diperkirakan berukuran sekitar 10 kilometer.
