I saw my first longfin mako shark (Isurus paucus). It was offloaded from a shark fishing boat and taken to the market floor, where I then watched them cut off the fins for export. A beautiful and rare species meeting a sad end. Longfin mako sharks are uncommon- a shark species not many people have ever, or will ever, see.
