The Night Monkey (Aotus spp.), also known as the owl monkey, is a nocturnal primate native to the forests of Central and South America, including the Pantanal region near Cuiabá. These monkeys are unique as they are the only truly nocturnal monkeys, adapted to low light conditions with large eyes and excellent night vision.
