Take a Look at this Little Gem of a Concept. The Corvette debuted in 1953 with a rather weak Blue Flame Straight 6 engine. The car was very popular instantly but it lacked the power it needed. Chevrolet immediately started working on an entire Family of Corvettes. One of those Concepts was a Ruby Red 1954 Corvette "Corvair" Fastback Coupe.
