Today Sepultura debut album Morbid Visions turns 39 years!! Early Sepultura sound was primitive and raw. Actually they lacked playing skills but they replaced it by lots of passion and imagination. This is when Sepultura played Death Metal (check the intro words of Max "Possessed" to the song "Mayhem") Words Death Metal were also written on the lyrics sheet of their debut album. Of course early Sepultura was a mix of thrash, death and even black metal to a certain extent.
